I’m Kim and welcome to Turnspit & Table, my new blog all about historical food and dining. We are up and running just in time for the first Historical Food Fortnightly ever, and with the first challenge in less than a week I’m getting very excited! That means for the next year I will be posting a historical recipe every fortnight in response to the challenges that have been set (to see the list of challenges and the other participants head over to The Historical Food Fortnightly page). Everything should be based on primary sources, and historical is anything before 1960 so there’s plenty of scope for exciting new recipes. First up – literary foods.
